SB 606 -- STATE PARK LAND CONVEYANCES
SPONSOR: Coleman (May)
COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Conservation and Natural Resources by a vote of 16 to 0.
This bill allows the Department of Natural Resources to trade up
to five acres of land to resolve park boundary conflicts if the
department receives land of equal or greater fair market value in
exchange.
FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill will increase
administrative efficiency in resolving park boundary conflicts.
Testifying for the bill were Senator Coleman; Department of
Natural Resources; and Missouri Parks Association.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
